KDTime: Unforgivable Farewells: Tv Character Deaths that Left us Heartbroken

Image
Episode 121 TV Character Deaths That Absolutely Enraged Fans A KDTime Pop Culture Breakdown At KDTime , we live for nostalgia, TV debates, and those moments that make you yell at your screen like the characters can hear you. And nothing sparks chaos in TV fandom quite like a character death that feels unearned, unnecessary, or downright disrespectful . Some TV deaths are sad. Others are shocking. And then there are the ones that make fans say: “Yeah… the writers lost me.” Let’s get into the TV character deaths that truly enraged fans—and why we’re still talking about them. Logan Echolls ( Veronica Mars ) This one still hurts. After years of growth—from messy bad boy to emotionally mature partner—Logan is killed off minutes after marrying Veronica . Fans waited years for that payoff, only for it to be ripped away instantly. I call this a “growth erasure death.” Viewers felt Logan’s entire arc was sacrificed to force Veronica back into the “lonely detective” trope. The backlash was lo...

KDTime: Battle of the Butlers (Geoffrey vs Niles)

Image
Episode 54 There are two that stand out to me as I’ve watched TV over the years and they are Geoffrey from Fresh Prince of bel air played by Joseph Marcell (1990) and Niles from the Nanny (1993) played by Daniel Davis. Which was more savage? Who gave the best advice? Just a couple of the questions we’ll use to compare the two. Here is the first round quotes from the show. Round 1: Snark/Savage When Will asked about a party  Will: “Yo, Are we having a party? We’re gonna get stupid right? Geoffrey: “For some of us, that will require very little effort indeed” When Carlton made a wrong assumption Carlton: Geoffrey, Will has been hypnotized! The great mentos made him think he’s four years old! G: Can he make me think I care? To Will “I’m so terribly sorry, Master William, there’s been a misunderstanding. Apparently, I gave you the impression that I really wanted to know. When G literally put bread on Carlton’s head C: "Geoffrey can you make me a sandwich" G: *places bread* ...

KDTime: The Circle of Life

Episode 41 If you've never seen these movies I suggest you stop reading before you are spoiled. Remember you were warned!! Now before I start this, let me just say that it was hard to choose but also one of the easiest choices I could make when it comes to these kinds of "choose one" scenarios. The thing is that I know each of these characters make a great case to be saved. Each of them have a prevalent presence in each of their movies. Some shorter than others. When I made my choice I thought about each character and I thought about how each of their deaths, which it seems like Disney is a little obsessed with, effected the main character of the movie. And in the end there is one clear choice and one second choice; but this is my opinion. I understand and I went through them character by character.  When you think about each of these specific characters you think about the emotions you felt when they are no longer on the screen. I had a certain attachment to one of the ...

KDTime: 5 Tv Show Couples (I Didn't Like)

Image
Episode 35  Now before you get upset reading this, do understand this characters are not at all real and they are entirely created by writers who have a vision for their stories. Tv shows are stories we get to see in a visual way. And because of that fact it is easy to get attached to characters because you are seeing their stories and the drama and you can easily get sucked in to the romance or the struggle of their relationships. Which is why when I created this particular episode, I already knew that it was only an opinion piece and doesn't really matter in real life. I can't change the way characters are written like I can't change the weather to be what I want it to be. With that being said these characters and their romantic partners that they happen to end up with by the end of their shows run are as follows.  P.S. Again, my choices. AGREE TO DISAGREE if you don't like it. George & Izzie from Greys Anatomy Tom and Ann Perkins from Parks & Rec Ezra and Ari...

KDTime: "You Can Do it" (Sports Movies)

"You Can Do it" one of the most common phrases in most of Adam Sandler's movies and a few of them are on the following list. There is no rhythm nor rhyme about this list. It is really just a list of sports movies that I've seen and enjoyed over the years. And there are plenty more out to see I know, but these were the ones that I have definitely seen and seen a lot. Some still more than others! My favorite sports movie and movie of all time is Remember the Titans. It is such a classic feel good movie. Here is the list so far... Comment your favorite sports movie or movies! Bend it Like Beckham (2002) White Men Can’t Jump (1992) Rocky (1976) Coach Carter (2005) Happy Gilmore (1996) Longest Yard (Adam Sandler) (2005) Uncle Drew (2018) 42 (2013) Trouble with the Curve (2012) The Blind Side (2009) Here Comes the BOOM (2012) She’s the Man (2006) Bring it On (2000) Semi-Pro (2008) Dodgeball (2004) The Cutting Edge (1992) Neither Moira Kelly (voice of older Nala in The Lion ...

KDTime: Squad Goals

Image
Twenty-Nine Leave a Voice Message and Get on the Show use the link 👇 https://anchor.fm/kdtime/message Squad up! Gang gang gang! Let me stop😂. A squad can best be described as a group, gang, or team and if you have several friends or people you hang out they are your squad. Your people, your posse, gang gang 😂. The people you like to keep in your inner circle have certain attributes and qualities to bring to the group. I have a tight knit circle that I love and they love me. I do my best to express my feelings and thoughts to them and we have a lot of fun.  Having any kind of friend group has it's advantages and disadvantages though because when you disagree with a least one person of the group and it isn't resolved it can cause big tensions. It's kind of funny how shows will have friends get over certain things quickly when in the real world that isn't always the case. Sometimes friends grow distant, but the ones who are meant to stay in your circle do and the ones w...

KDTheme: TV Theme Songs 2 Part Two

Image
Twenty Eight Be careful not to mess with the balance of things, because everything is not what it seems. This is the second half of TV Show Theme songs. The first half consisted of cartoons and sitcoms and this half consisted of dramas and kid shows. Dramas like Degrassi: Next Generation, Charmed (original), Shameless, Teen Wolf and more. Kid shows like Hannah Montana, Bob the Builder, All That, and more. These shows have shaped my childhood and adolescence. I enjoyed these shows greatly and most of them hooked me in with their theme or opening music along with the actors and actresses I saw from trailers.  The thing about TV is that if it’s not an instant hit and consistently great then even if you love a show, the network can cancel the show because it's not getting the traction that was promised or hoped for. It absolutely sucks when you get into a show and then it gets cancelled for in my opinion bad reasons. The most recent ones that I watched were LoveCraft Country, Grand Arm...

KDTime: Tv Theme Songs

Episode Thirteen I think I've made it pretty clear over the several podcast episodes I have submitted that I am completely obsessed with Television and Movies. I did not focus my podcast on these things and in hindsight maybe I should have, but I really enjoy talking about tv and movies. Some of the best things about watching shows and movies is how the music relates exactly to what you are watching on the screen. For example, if something tense is about to happen you already know that the scene will be tense heavy, or the pretty obvious when you hear a sad song the scene will be a tearful one and etc. With all this being said, I decided to make this episode all about tv show theme songs. There is a part two coming because I couldn't fit every theme song in one episode. And possibly more parts because new tv shows are coming out all the time. But for this episode I talk about the biggest ones that most of everyone should know and if you don't know now you know.  Here is the...

KDTime: Did I Do That?

Image
In this episode the topic is Favorite Sitcom Parents, you know the ones. There are a lot of sitcoms out there with some really fantastic families. Most of the time when watching a show we focus on the children dynamics and their friends but most of the time the parents have good guidance and some genuine heartfelt moments for the characters developments. Where would Fresh Prince be with out the help of his Uncle Phil & Aunt Vivian who also had 4 children of their own. What about the caring parents of Boy Meets world own Corey, Eric and Megan Matthews? Well in honor of mother's day and father's day this episode was dedicated to great TV show parents. there are also a few corny dad jokes Here is the list of parents the shows and the characters real names: *Fresh Prince Phil & Vivian Banks played by James Avery & Janet Hubert/Daphne Maxwell Reid *Full House Danny Tanner - Bob Saget *Boy Meets World Alan & Amy Matthews - Willam Russ & Betsy Randle Married with C...

KDTime: We're Filming

Movies are probably the best things I love to talk about. I watch so many movies it's crazy or at least it seems crazy to me. But I know there are people out there that watch movies for a living or even a side hobby giving their opinions and critics. In this episode two topics are addressed. The first topic is on movies that would be very interesting to see from another character's point of view. As I type this it gives me an idea for another kind of topic, but I won't say here. You'll have to listen to the episodes to find out what that is. Anyway the second topic is on movies that would make fantastic tv shows with the right people behind it of course.  Here's a list of the Movies for TV Show submission from the episode: Percy Jackson  The twilight saga  50 shades of grey Look Who’s talking now Master of Disguise  Inception Spider-Man: into the spider verse  Clue Harry Potter Marvel Cinematic Universe Lord of the rings Tell me your thoughts. Are there ot...
