KDTime: Am I a 2000s Kid?

 "Oh, well imagine

As I'm pacing the pews in a church corridor

And I can't help but to hear

No, I can't help but to hear an exchanging of words"

If you could tell the name of this song by just these lyrics I know you are a 2000s kid. The 2000s was a wild time to be alive. Everyone brags about the 90s myself included, but the 2000s brought so many things including really great music. So much great music that I challenged myself to figure out song lyrics from certain 2000s hits. 2000-2010 where I spent my pre-teen to full teenage years. Most of the music was listened to on the radios and then slowly on YouTube and then on other internet websites.

I experienced a lot in my teen years but one thing is for sure I got through it with music. Listening to lyrics that somehow seemed to express my exact feelings at the time. Songs like "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield, "Crazy in Love" by Beyoncé, "How you Remind Me" by Nickelback, "Yeah" by Usher featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris. I mean I was a teenager so none of these songs fully described my life, but in certain moments they surely made me feel something. Oddly enough growing up with a Caribbean background it was interesting to listen to some of the songs I did that were punk rock or emo.

All in all, going down memory lane this week was so much fun and I got to relive some of those memories through song. In this episode I read lyrics and then try to connect them to the proper title of the song. Most of these songs were easy and a couple actually stumped me which was half the enjoyment.

Here's some of the songs guessed from the episode;

Low - Flo Rida

The Sweet Escape - Gwen Stefani & Akon

Since You've Been Gone - Kelly Clarkson

Umbrella - Rihanna

Hips Don't Lie - Shakira

Poker Face - Lady Gaga

Drops of Jupiter - Train

It Wasn't Me - Shaggy

Get Low - Lil Jon & Eastside Boys

Bring Me to Life - Evanscense

Hey Ya - Outkast

Love Story - Taylor Swift

1, 2 Step - Ciara

KDTime: Oh the Places You'll Go

Thirty-One

I like traveling and seeing new places. It's definitely interesting to go places you have never been and there's also a familiarity to places that you have been too before. New or Old you tend to have a great time being there. Especially when you go with friends and sometimes family. In this episode, KDTime was asked about vacations and travel. Where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do. I would love to go anywhere around the world to be honest but if I had to choose. I actually chose this island in Oceania. It's a Polynesian island called Tuvalu and from the pictures and the research it looks like an amazing little spot where not many people tend to visit. Almost as though it's secluded and perfect really. Once a place is well known for the area things tend to be overpopulated and overwhelming. I would love to go to JAPAN, but so many people want to go there and so many people are there right now. I would feel right at home in a way because living in New York City I am surrounded by so many people almost 12-15 hours out of a 24 hour day.

Anyway in this episode I have another close best friend come on and talk about some of the vacations that we've been on and how we have managed to get through them with some of her insightful tips. You live and you learn right?!

Also, we noticed some funny names of towns in the USA along the way here's a few of them that we didn't say on the episode below
