Image
Episode 112 👑 Crowning the Legends of NYC Sports By Kay Dee New York isn't just the city that never sleeps — it’s the city that never stops competing . Whether it’s baseball in the Bronx, basketball at the Garden, or football across the river, the Big Apple is a battleground where only the best earn respect — and maybe even the title of “King of New York.” But here’s the twist: being king in this town doesn’t mean you're male. It means you're dominant, clutch, and iconic. It means you own the city when the lights shine brightest. Let’s meet the legends who’ve ruled NYC — past and present. 👑 Derek Jeter – The Captain Sport: Baseball | Team: New York Yankees The face of the Yankees dynasty and the embodiment of grace under pressure. KDTime: The Finals (NBA & NHL)

Episode 75 In this episode, I talk about the history that was these sporting final events. In NBA, The Miami Heat surpassed everyone's expectations being the 8th seed of the East to make it all the way to the finals. After battling to even be in the playoffs and then stomping the competition it was certainly a Cinderella Run. Unfortunately, they fell flat in the finals losing to the Denver Nuggets who won a title for the first time in their franchise history! When I say I was shocked at the results but, also slightly proud of the Denver Nuggets because they maintained their dominance throughout the regular season and handled business in the post season. Nikola Jovic was rightfully the MVP. I used to love watching the Nuggets play and I have a soft spot for them in my heart thanks to Carmelo Anthony. It was quite the series to watch Miami vs Nuggets. Basketball in general has always been such an entertaining sport. Of course I was watching the playoffs. I will say it was definitely...

KDTime: Are Sports Stars Paid too much?

Episode 63 How much is too much? This debate on sports athletes is ongoing and it won’t stop because we as fans will dish out by the bucket loads to watch entertainment. That’s what sports are right: entertaining and stressing and beautiful and anxiety building and all that. “That’s Hockey baby” “It is high it is deep it is gone see ya” “oh what a play! A 63 ft field goal is good" "From way downtown bang” did you recognize any of these sportscaster catchphrases? One of the things that brings people together is sports. We watch, we cheer, we boo, we dislike the refereeing, we chant, we sing, we slap five etc. We do it all with sports. Sometimes we cry or punch the television. Personally if my team(s) lose(s) I think about how they could’ve won just like every other sports fan. If this didn’t happen or if that didn’t happen or if that did happen and all of it. Right you think about what went wrong, or if they win what could’ve gone wrong. But the one thing i love about sports ...

KDTime: "You Can Do it" (Sports Movies)

"You Can Do it" one of the most common phrases in most of Adam Sandler's movies and a few of them are on the following list. There is no rhythm nor rhyme about this list. It is really just a list of sports movies that I've seen and enjoyed over the years. And there are plenty more out to see I know, but these were the ones that I have definitely seen and seen a lot. Some still more than others! My favorite sports movie and movie of all time is Remember the Titans. It is such a classic feel good movie. Here is the list so far... Comment your favorite sports movie or movies! KDTime: Let's Gooooooooo !!

Let me start this off by saying I am ridiculously happy that sports are back on the TV and I will eventually go to see one live again, but for now I'll enjoy them from the comfort of my home and possibly some sports bars if that's available. Of course this episode is all about sports with a KD Recommendation. An Excerpt from the show: "When I first found my love for major sports, it all started with basketball. The thing is I wanted guys to like me. I went that route and I started paying attention to basketball and then football because I played while in jhs. Hockey came much later (although as a New Yorker if the rangers or islanders won I would be happy). I remember going to my first baseball game in 2006 with my journalism teacher. She took us to see the Yankees and I became a fan then. Loved A-Rod and Jeter. But yea basketball is where it started and the best basketball team in 06-07 was the Spurs beating Cleveland in a sweep. Now I love underdogs and back then Lebron...
