KDTime: The Circle of Life

 Episode 41

If you've never seen these movies I suggest you stop reading before you are spoiled. Remember you were warned!!

Now before I start this, let me just say that it was hard to choose but also one of the easiest choices I could make when it comes to these kinds of "choose one" scenarios. The thing is that I know each of these characters make a great case to be saved. Each of them have a prevalent presence in each of their movies. Some shorter than others. When I made my choice I thought about each character and I thought about how each of their deaths, which it seems like Disney is a little obsessed with, effected the main character of the movie. And in the end there is one clear choice and one second choice; but this is my opinion. I understand and I went through them character by character.

When you think about each of these specific characters you think about the emotions you felt when they are no longer on the screen. I had a certain attachment to one of the characters that I didn't have with the others. The funny thing is my second choice I didn't have an emotional attachment but I felt like they were a very good candidate in case the my main choice wasn't on the list to begin with.

Here's how each of these character's (un)timely demise:

Mufasa: Killed by his brother Scar. Scar threw Mufasa off a cliff.

Tadashi Hamada: Killed trying to save, an unbeknownst to us villain, his professor from the building before its explosion.

Ellie: Died from natural causes, it's not really known but we can assume it was an illness.

Bing Bong: Sacrifices himself; fades away in the abyss of nothingness down the memory dump.

Bambi's Mom: Killed by a hunter.

Ray: Stepped on, essentially squished by the Shadow Man trying to help save Tiana and Prince Naveen. Another sacrificial death.

Who would you choose? Leave your comments below :)
