 Let me start this off by saying I am ridiculously happy that sports are back on the TV and I will eventually go to see one live again, but for now I'll enjoy them from the comfort of my home and possibly some sports bars if that's available. Of course this episode is all about sports with a KD Recommendation. An Excerpt from the show: "When I first found my love for major sports, it all started with basketball. In this episode the topic is Favorite Sitcom Parents, you know the ones. There are a lot of sitcoms out there with some really fantastic families. Most of the time when watching a show we focus on the children dynamics and their friends but most of the time the parents have good guidance and some genuine heartfelt moments for the characters developments. Where would Fresh Prince be with out the help of his Uncle Phil & Aunt Vivian who also had 4 children of their own. What about the caring parents of Boy Meets world own Corey, Eric and Megan Matthews?  Movies are probably the best things I love to talk about. I watch so many movies it's crazy or at least it seems crazy to me. But I know there are people out there that watch movies for a living or even a side hobby giving their opinions and critics. In this episode two topics are addressed. The first topic is on movies that would be very interesting to see from another character's point of view. As I type this it gives me an idea for another kind of topic, but I won't say here. You'll have to listen to the episodes to find out what that is.  There is no doubt in my mind that the people I grew up with in the 90s and early 2000s in the concrete jungle that is NYC all somehow some way experienced the same childhood at some points in our life. Anywhere from watching the same tv shows like Barney, Between the Lions, Arthur, or the same movies like She's All That, 10 Things I hate about you, 17 again, Juno. But in a more realistic way how many of you remember making rap beats on the lunch table? It was sometimes my favorite part of going to lunch besides recess. In this particular episode three topics are addressed. First regarding our childhoods, second on being a "YES" person and finally a fun hashtag called #YouAreOfficiallyOldIf  three fun and light topics and that make you think about good old days and fun times before things changed for you. in hindsight everything changes because people who are being born today will have a completely different experience of life than you. There are many songs out and it is very clear that not all are for weddings. But sometimes that isn't clear to people. To be completely fair. You can play whatever you want at your wedding because it's your wedding. Do what makes you happy. A lot of people don't know thi, but I'll let you in on a little secret. You making yourself happy is a THOUSAND times better than trying to please other people. Trying to please people and trying to make people happy are different trust me.  In the midst of a pandemic. I decided to talk about being essential and how New York is essential. Especially New York City. In this third episode, a shout to all the workers came about and it was very clear that deserved high praise for what they do everyday.  This episode was created around Memorial Day Weekend and while a lot of people stayed home, many people took the opportunity to enjoy the weekend the same way the would have if the pandemic didn't happen. It's all about being essential and what that means in the grand scheme of things. I talk about NYC Commuters and I give a couple stories of some experiences I had on the MTA.
