Pepper Anne, a 7th generation Texan, works with private investigators to ensure her true crime books are meticulously detailed. Her first book, The Notorious Texas Swindler, explores the story of her cousin, Bob Leach, a cattle rustler turned con man who led the Grayson County Five in a 2001 jailbreak. Despite threats and hacking attempts, Pepper remains determined to reveal the truth, protecting her identity for safety. Her goal is to present all sides of a story for readers to judge. Though focused on true crime, she also writes crime fiction inspired by real events to uncover lesser-known stories.
