KDTime: Battle of the Butlers (Geoffrey vs Niles)

 Episode 54

There are two that stand out to me as I’ve watched TV over the years and they are Geoffrey from Fresh Prince of bel air played by Joseph Marcell (1990) and Niles from the Nanny (1993) played by Daniel Davis. Which was more savage? Who gave the best advice? Just a couple of the questions we’ll use to compare the two.

Here is the first round quotes from the show.

Round 1: Snark/Savage

When Will asked about a party

Will: “Yo, Are we having a party? We’re gonna get stupid right?

Geoffrey: “For some of us, that will require very little effort indeed”

When Carlton made a wrong assumption

Carlton: Geoffrey, Will has been hypnotized! The great mentos made him think he’s four years old!

G: Can he make me think I care?

To Will

“I’m so terribly sorry, Master William, there’s been a misunderstanding. Apparently, I gave you the impression that I really wanted to know.

When G literally put bread on Carlton’s head

C: "Geoffrey can you make me a sandwich"

G: *places bread* "there, now you’re a sandwich"

C.C.:

"I wouldn't be caught dead in that dress."

Niles:

"You'd have to be dead six months to fit in it."

C.C.:

"You are a pathetic excuse for a man."

Niles:

"Ditto!"

[after spraying Maxwell's leather couch]

Niles:

"I couldn't resist the infomercial, sir. "Unwanted dirt just slides right off!""

[C.C. slips off the chair]

Niles:

"And voila!"

After watching it and reading these I couldn't stop laughing. So funny!

KDTime: Halloween Heist (Special Episode)

 Episode 53

Happy Halloween!

In this episode, the title gives everything away. So we decided to rewatch all the Heist episodes of Brooklyn-Nine Nine and it was so much. I absolutely love the show and I always feel sad when shows like these come to an end because they bring great feelings when watching it. The funny part about these heist episodes is that fact that Halloween is barely a part of them. Yes they wear costumes and there's decorations up but it's more so about the heists that take place and how elaborate they get. Each episode had a great plot and some were greater than others.

Below we ranked the episodes from 8th to 1st place. What was interesting was how different the rankings were between myself and Jude. We didn't have any that were the same and that is because as Jude said in the episode that she was more of an emotional ranking compared to mine which were more of a physical ranking because of how the heists went down.

Heist Episodes                ==== My Ranking ====== Jude Ranking

S1E6 Halloween         4th             3/8

S2E4 Halloween II         6th             8/8

S3E5 Halloween III         5th             4/8

S4E5 Halloween IV         3rd             7/8

S5E4 HalloVeen         1st          2/8

S6E16 Cinco De Mayo         8th             6/8

S7E11 “Valloweaster" 2nd             5/8

S8E9 & E10 “the Last Day” 7th             1/8

KDTime: Cable Then and Now

Episode 52:

What was it like growing up with out cable? It was a little tough and somewhat of a drag when your friends were watching shows like Degrassi on Noggin, or the movie channels like Showtime, HBO, Cinema Max and all that. But there were some good quality shows that I saw growing up on PBS, WB11, ABC, etc that made it all worth while. The shows down below are what I watched. Well at least 56 of them anyway.

My favorites were Arthur, Dragontales, Between The Lions, Mucha Lucha, Cyber Chase, Static Shock, Jackie Chan Adventures and Recess.

What were yours?
