In this episode, episode number two I talk about cursing, trying new things and trying things on your own. I also dive into drug commercials and their side effects. On a serious note, drug commercials are cleverly created because they advertise as though the drugs in said commercial are the best thing for you but then they hit you with all the ways this particular drug could mess you up. It is crazy!
Check out this excerpt from the episode:
"Why do we curse so much? Do saying hell and damn count? Or are you like me where I curse but for the most part it's not an actual curse word. I substitute real curse words with random combinations of things. One of the substitutions is “What the cuss?” It’s one of my phrases and you’ll hear it often throughout my episodes. Where did it come from? You ask? Well one of my best friend’s cousins said/says it all the time and I adopted it into my everyday language. Every year since about my junior high school days I've done my best to curse less… sorry mom. But yes i curse every so often like when i’m in my car and someone cuts me off, or when something surprising happens in a tv show. It’s a slip of the tongue but for the most part I'll say fudge monkeys, and french toast is popular thanks to that orbit “clean it up” commercial. I was always told my voice doesn't sound right for cursing anyway and it’s true if you’re listening now because I sound young. I refuse to disclose my age here lol but anyway yea i was told not to curse because it doesn’t sound right. So now I use other filler words because that’s all cussing is, is filler words. I promise you I won’t curse on here though. I think not cursing is unique now because almost everybody curses. It’s rare to hear someone not curse. But when you’re surrounded by others who do curse and curse often it comes out. You have to think about who you are around and if you’re just going along with things because others are doing it."
