KDTime: Talk with Tehilla Aloni

Image
Episode 79 In this episode, I had another guest on the show with me. Her name was Tehilla Aloni and we talked about her lifestyle of being a homeopath. It was quite the conversation. We talked about some deep philosophical topics. We definitely talked through a bunch of things that I had no idea about. What was really awesome about talking with Tehilla is that I certainly learned a lot about the topic. Here are some of the things I learned. Homeopathy is a form of alternative medicine that originated in the late 18th century. It is based on the principle of "like cures like," which means that a substance that causes symptoms in a healthy person can be used to treat similar symptoms in a sick person. Here are some facts and tips about homeopathy: 1. Individualized Treatment: Homeopathic remedies are prescribed based on the individual's specific symptoms, considering both physical and emotional aspects. This individualized approach is a key principle of homeopathy. 2. High ...

KDTime: Interview with Lucas Daniels

Image
Episode 78 I had the pleasure of having a guest on the show who could talk about growing and cultivating crops for goods. It was quite the experience to learn and talk through that lifestyle and it gave me a perspective on how life could be when you grow your own way. Lucas Daniels came on the show to talk about his life as a homesteader. What is a homesteader you may ask?  A homesteader traditionally refers to a person or family who establishes a homestead, which is a dwelling with its land and buildings, typically in a rural area. Historically, homesteading was associated with the settlement of undeveloped land in the United States under the Homestead Act of 1862. Under this act, individuals could acquire ownership of a parcel of public land by meeting certain requirements, such as building a dwelling and cultivating crops. Homesteaders played a crucial role in the economic development of the country by contributing to agriculture, expanding settlements, and promoting economic se...

KDTime: The Finals (NBA & NHL)

Image
Episode 75 In this episode, I talk about the history that was these sporting final events. In NBA, The Miami Heat surpassed everyone's expectations being the 8th seed of the East to make it all the way to the finals. After battling to even be in the playoffs and then stomping the competition it was certainly a Cinderella Run. Unfortunately, they fell flat in the finals losing to the Denver Nuggets who won a title for the first time in their franchise history! When I say I was shocked at the results but, also slightly proud of the Denver Nuggets because they maintained their dominance throughout the regular season and handled business in the post season. Nikola Jovic was rightfully the MVP. I used to love watching the Nuggets play and I have a soft spot for them in my heart thanks to Carmelo Anthony. It was quite the series to watch Miami vs Nuggets. Basketball in general has always been such an entertaining sport. Of course I was watching the playoffs. I will say it was definitely...

KDTime: #ThingsKidsTodayCantDo

Image
Episode 73 In the ever-evolving world of technology and societal shifts, the capabilities and experiences of today's children differ significantly from those of previous generations. The advent of the digital age has brought about a multitude of changes, giving rise to a unique set of circumstances and challenges. Let's take a nostalgic journey and explore some of the #ThingsKidsTodayCantDo that were once commonplace for earlier generations. A few things listed; 1. Play Outside Until the Streetlights Come On: Once upon a time, the streetlights served as a universal signal for children to wrap up their outdoor play and head home. Nowadays, with the prevalence of smartphones and video games, the timeless tradition of playing outside until dusk is not as common as it used to be. 2. Use a Landline Telephone: The iconic rotary dial or even the push-button landline phone was a staple in every household. Kids from earlier generations had to master the art of dialing and had the shar...
